Service Projects
The heart of Junior Auxiliary can be seen through what we do in our community service projects. We currently have 7 service projects reaching out to children, youth, and families all over the city of Clinton.
Each year, our members put in countless hours volunteering on the projects and giving our hearts to the children that we serve.
Angel Tree
Through a partnership with Clinton Community Christian Corporation, JA of Clinton works with families in Clinton who show great need. After participating in various parenting, budgeting and career building activities, families are provided with Christmas gifts that JA collects throughout the month of November in the Clinton area.
Crown Club
Crown Club is an affiliate of Junior Auxiliary of Clinton made up of equal membership of high school Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors from all area schools. The objective of Crown Club is to foster interest among its members in the social, economic, educational, civic and cultural conditions around them; to develop leadership and character; to prepare for good citizenship; and to demonstrate the job of caring for others. Crown Club assists with projects and fundraisers of Junior Auxiliary, but also has projects and fundraisers of their own.
Eggstra Special
EggstraSpecial is a collaborative effort between JA of Clinton and Clinton Parks and Recreation to provide a city wide Easter egg hunt free of charge for the community. Games, face painting and 100s of Easter eggs make for a fun filled community event.
Eye Spy
JA provides required vision screening for students in the Clinton Public School District and Clinton Christian Academy. Vouchers for further eye screenings and glasses are also made available on a case by case basis.
Hands and Feet
If a need arises at one of our area schools, churches, community outreach centers or just about anywhere in Clinton, JA of Clinton has resources to help. Since its start in May of 2019, Hands and Feet has provided hygiene products and school supplies to local schools and food to a local food pantry.
IMPACT
Junior Auxiliary has partnered with the Methodist Children’s Home to build relationships and teach life skills to those living in the MCH group homes. JA provides support and encouragement for success in school while also teaching life skills. From celebrating birthdays to a school recognition program, JA hopes to provide a meaningful relationship with children and teens that need it most.
Jumpstart
Junior Auxiliary provides a weeklong “jumpstart” for Clinton area children. Students come to Clinton Park Elementary for a week in July to spend the morning in different activities similar to the ones they will be taking part in during Kindergarten. From walking in a straight line to writing letters, these children get a chance to experience the K5 world before it starts.
